Kara Birk has dedicated 28 years to H-E-B, where she has spent the last 11 years managing Pharmacy Supply Chain.  Leading a team responsible for Rx Inventory, Reverse Logistics, CSOS, and Suspicious Order Monitoring, Kara thrives on collaborating with her team and industry suppliers to deliver top-notch pharmacy care to Texans. From the inception of the DSCSA project, she has worked closely with her colleague, Leon Nevers,  where they continue to refine processes and prepare diligently for implementation.

Testing Stabilization – How the Industry is Progressing Towards DSCSA Interoperability
Last August, the FDA announced it was granting the pharmaceutical supply chain an additional 12 months of stabilization before the law would become effective. This time would allow for more companies to serialize product and have enough serialized product in the supply chain to be able to test how well the interoperable tracing system works.
