Leveling Up Pharmacy’s Role in Value-Based Care

Adam Chesler is currently the Senior Vice President of Strategic Initiatives with VillageMD, and has more than 20 years of experience in healthcare including positions as Vice President of Operations for TelePharm, Director of Regulatory and Legislative Affairs for Cardinal Health, Director of Strategic Alliances for PTCB, and Manager roles with Walgreens and Target. He is a graduate of the University of Miami with a bachelor’s degree in Health Science, and also earned a doctorate degree in Pharmacy and a masters in business administration from the University of Texas.

Dr. Anita Patel leads the development of Walgreens clinical pharmacy services. She is responsible for the advancement of existing clinical programs such as immunizations and medication adherence across 9K community sites, expansion into new therapeutic areas including asthma, diabetes and hypertension, and innovation for clinical service delivery to improve access to quality care across communities. Dr. Patel also leads data and analytics related to service execution. She has over 20 years of experience in the public health and healthcare industry helping to accelerate Walgreens into its pharmacy of the future health service strategy.
